How we narrate our world is how we see it. It impacts the roles we assume and that have been placed on us. These constitute our worldview. Sometimes this process is helpful. Other times it’s not. Ultimately, it’s helpful to develop insight around this process so that it blends with whatever changes are occurring inside and outside of you. Together, we would use mindfulness to become present and calm with what is happening in your present moment. And we would use Narrative Therapy’s journaling exercises to help foster insight around those moments, the roles you play, and what influenced those roles and the nature of your perspective (culture, trauma, family history, etc.).
